What to expect at the appointment:
During the first 50 minute consultation, our Tauranga-based dietitian will take the time to understand your goals, lifestyle, health needs, and ask several questions about your food intake and activity level. Together you will explore areas for dietary change and be provided with the necessary support to help you achieve your goals. Body measurements may be taken as needed and if desired.
A follow up consultation typically involves a discussion about changes in your dietary habits/ exercise and the necessary steps to take for continued progress or maintenance of new habits. Our nutritionists and dietitians may provide further meal suggestions, recipes and useful resources as required.
How many sessions do I need with a Nutritionist?
Typically a client will need between 3 – 6 sessions 3 – 4 weeks apart. This does vary depending on the reason for nutrition advice, current nutrition knowledge and desired goals. It is very helpful if you can keep a record of your food intake for 3 – 6 days prior to seeing the dietitian for the first time. This enables the dietitian to get a clearer picture of your habitual food intake.
We offer individual and couples consultation and sessions can take place via face to face or skype.
