Eilish is passionate about treating the whole person and getting people to the right treatment at the right time. She graduated from the University of Ulster in 2001 and worked in Belfast before catching the travel bug! Having played in the 1999 Netball world cup in Christchurch for Northern Ireland, Eilish was keen to return and see more of what NZ had to offer. While here in New Zealand she completed post graduate training in AUT in Auckland, also spending some time studying in Curtain University of Technology in Perth.
The emerald isle called and she returned to Ireland with her Kiwi hubby to take up post as a clinical specialist physiotherapist in spinal pain in Musgrave Park Hospital, Belfast. There Eilish spent 11 years treating people with spinal pain, pre and post spinal surgery rehabilitation, and working in an extended role in the spinal orthopaedic team. During her time in Belfast Eilish also worked as a sports physiotherapist for the Northern Ireland Netball team, and inter county Gaelic football teams. Having moved her young family back to New Zealand Eilish is delighted to take her skills in orthopaedic spinal conditions and sports physiotherapy forward with Body in Motion, and enjoy all that the NZ lifestyle has to offer!
Outside of work, Eilish’s interests include getting the kids out into the great outdoors is always number one. Taking time to relax, baking and maybe a wee glass of wine every now and then! Eilish can also be caught telling the odd bad joke!
