Kirsty Cleghorn
Rehab Coach
TAURANGA – Community team
I moved to NZ in 2012 with my family and we have settled in the spectacular Bay of Plenty. I have a background in Sports Science (1993) and a Physiotherapy degree (2003) from the UK and have dedicated my career to improving patient outcomes through rehabilitation. I have over twenty years of experience working across diverse settings with people of all ages and physical abilities. From group exercise instruction and education to clinical roles in hospitals, specializing in Stroke Recovery and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation. I have a particular passion for elderly rehabilitation and Falls prevention, helping older adults improve mobility, reduce the risk of falls, and maintain independence and quality of life.
I am a “Keep on Your Feet ” senior exercise class instructor with Sport Bay of Plenty, and have joined Body in Motion as a Falls champion to help continue with the fantastic Falls Prevention work they are doing in the Bay of Plenty community.
